Sara and my friendship goes back a few years now, and in many ways we have grown up as wedding photographers together. My promise to one day photograph her wedding, if and when, came home a couple of weeks ago when Sara and Jon finally made it all legal!
So after many years of attending other couples’ weddings, Sara got to organise her own, and quickly realised that there was an Awful Lot To Do! As you’ll see, the style of the day was entirely their own, with contributions from all their closest friends and family, notably Sara’s lovely big sis Rosalie. Decorations, readings, singing, slideshows and music all made the day unique, and a fitting celebration of life for two fabulous people and their two gorgeous children, Ruby and Joe.
It was a day full of emotion, much happiness, tinged with a little sadness as some close family members were unable to make it to the celebrations. The sun shone, and Sara and Jon were able to have both their ceremony and their drinks reception outside in the glorious sunshine. Summer wedding photography in Hertfordshire doesn’t get much better. Amanda and I were guests, so after most of my professional duties were done, I got to sit at a proper table for a change, chatted to other guests for more than ten seconds, and even had a bit of a boogie later on!
